Ippolit comparison to R3 similarities technical report

Post by Charles »

Hello, there was mention in talk chess by Jeremy I think that someone at Rybka had written a very technical report comparing Rybka to Ippolit on points where they differ and are similar.
It would of interest to post that information here. - I am not sure if this paper even exists but there definitely was a thread about it on talk chess ..

Zach Wegner has it, and I'm not sure if he's joined this forum. I hope he will, if he hasn't, and I hope he'll post the paper. It was written by "BB" from the rybkaforum. His posts there are fascinating reads, so I am looking very forward to reading a more formal document from him.

BB disappeared from Rybka forum about february.
I have a document by him about this topic (Ryb- Fruit and other engs.). May be it's the same you are speaking of, but I can't find how to attach it here. :(
Anyway, as far as I remember, the doc didn't discuss in detail ippo...; some mention was perhaps done in the rybka posts.

You should be able to attach docs to your posts ("Upload attachment" tab under the editing field). What's the document type?

I hope it's what you looked for.
Unfortunately, my OE expired, so all the mhts are not linked together, but you can downolad the structured mht using the urls in the file links.txt

Did you accidentally post the wrong file? What you posted is the Fruit/Rybka relationship.

Edit: I guess some of the links do go to the comparisons on Rybka forums.

"Disappeared" ;-) . Banned most probably. :-(

I have heard he published the correlation table for 10 top engines and... the correlation between Ipoos and Rybka was not the most big one. :-)
