Well, my understanding was, that live book is the ultimate boost. maybe I am wrong...

The latest push is the ideas born from stockfish developers, Lc0 and their thousands of tests ;) , maybe Torch in the time (Until it's made public).

A strong database for the live book is in the work, there is some great information on Discord. While you can use BrainLearn, ShashChess or Eman.

And indeed, you have just answered yourself, to measure the strength of an engine, tournaments are necessary, you have two references: Sedat Canbaz or now, Desvelemos Africa (Jordi Centelles).

Yes..they are as true LEGENDS in our hobby!
Btw, especially when I was so new in testings...
I was BIG fan of Frank and SSDF ratings..where
