The test tournament of new versions of "amateur" chess engines was won by Rodent NN JA. Second place went to the Pirarucu 3.3.5 JA engine. Both of these engines are builds by Jim Ablett.
In third place is the new version of the MadChess engine 3.2.1.
The new version of the Tcheran 2.3 engine achieved significant progress +88 ranking points.
A small test tournament of new versions of amateur chess engines was won by Demolito 2023-11-04. In 2nd place - Flounder 0.5.0.0 and in 3rd place - Simbelmyne 1.7.0. Several engines were generating errors.
New versions of powerful chess engines played in the tournament. The engines that scored the most points were: Marauders 3.4 and Sun 12. Among the engines that are not based on the Stockfish source code, the best results were Uralochka 3.41a and Clover 6.1.24.
This time, the 1st League of the best (TOP-64) chess engines was won by Stockfish 20240518. This compilation looks really good and there is clear progress.
In 2nd place was CorChess 20240502 and the bronze medal for the ShashChess 35.3 engine.
The Lc0 BT4 engine crashed in as many as 16 games. The Banksia GUI doesn't seem to support Lc0 engines well.
The amateur chess engine tournament was won by Uralochka 3.41a. 2nd place went to Clover 6.1.2.4 JA and 3rd place to Altair 7.0.3 JA.
Good progress in the ranking was achieved by new versions of chess engines - Tcheran 2.3 (+68) and Zangdar 2.29.01 (+64).
The 2nd Chess Engine League was won by Seer 2.8.0. Places 2 and 3 were taken by Koivisto 9.20 Impan and Alexandria 6.1.0 engines. All three were promoted to the 1st League.
The big tournament of powerful chess engines is won by Stockfish 20240501 Ivec. Bravo, this is a very good compilation.
In 2nd place is the Marauders 3.4 engine and in 3rd place is Stockfish 16.1 (official version).
As many as 1,200 games were played in the next middle class chess engine tournament. Berserk 13 won, Obsidian 12.0 took 2nd place and Ethereal 14.25 took 3rd place. RubiChess 20240112 also achieved a good result. We are waiting for new versions of these engines.
The three best engines: Willow 4.0.0.1, Wasp 6.50 and Starzix 4.0 were promoted to the 2nd League. Currently, the free Komodo 14.1 engine is in the middle of the table.
The fourth league of the best chess engines (TOP-64) was won by the Weiss 2.1 JA engine. The engines from places 2 and 3 were also promoted to the 3rd league - Avalanche 2.1.0 and MrBob 1.3.0.
The Defenchess 2.3 engine, which is already 4 years old, was relegated to the amateur league, which means that, according to the regulations, it will no longer take part in the CEDR league.
