Breaking News (17.10.2024):
Well, via this update 8 books entered..where some of them performed very good!
E.g AbbyStein (by Tanicl Ramz), Rubix (by Ian Hurnavich) actually even Pyramid
(by Angel Morano) as old dated is ranked not bad, and I admit too No Nook NN is
Performed much better than many and why? In my opinion, their Evalfiles seems
So strong (sure here I refer even as without books) that rarely makes mistakes...!
Once more (for anyone missed), this is the same version, which is played in Giant
E.g tuned to prefer No Books openings (minimum 3700+ Elo.) On other hand, as
We see Messi's other powerful weapon (Esculapio) again on scene in short, great!
What does it mean? Simply means he fully deserves Messi name too..!! Not once,
Not twice. many many times...Btw, after checking closely... Esculapio has 1 point
Better (than Tunafish), that's why Esculapio is ranked as latest Public Champion...
Meanwhile, current competition paused..but it's planing to be resumed after week..
Sure after resuming ..new/updated books will be acceptable..so please stay tuned!
And then let's see which books will be the next Champs..see you later my friends)
Private Book Champion: DON 151024 - My Congratulations to Vasid Chouhan!
Where Public Book Champion: Esculapio - Congratulations to Angel Morano!

Re: SedatChess
UPDATE
1st of all,
BIG thanks to Mr. Tanick Ramz (OrgZ), for his support over SCCT tours!
I've seen a lot of programmers, but his work belongs to one of the best!
Just via my yesterday's request ...and in very short time,
OrgZ is managed to help here again..that means a lot !!
And what is new,
Neon Tetra v2 is a new candidate engine, which supports BIN + CTG
And as most important is that, very close in strength to Raubfish SC
And in same time Neon Tetra v2 includes the new updated CTG future,
E.g older SF-SCCT engine's CTG code seems to be buggy.. not sure exactly
What will be CTG influences with N. Tetra, but very soon will be clear..
But I expect, sure via CTG: Neon Tetra v2 will do better influences ...
Meanwhile, here are latest new strength results, as we see after 745
Out of 2000 games: 0.5 point diff. it seems they are close in strength..
Be aware too, Neon Tetra v2 is playing with move overhead 50, where
Raubfish SC via 200, e.g same values are used as in recent XXXVII CS !
Same conditions are used..as in recent XXXVII CS, exc.
Balsa + Unique openings are used to play...
GAMES: later will be shared, sorry here no free time for all
And thanks for your understanding...
Best,
Sedat

UPDATE 2
1st test + 2 Elo (in favor for Neon Tetra v2)
Draw-Ratio is not so high: 84%
----------------------------------------
2nd test + 3 Elo (in favor for Raubfish GTZ SC)
Draw-Ratio is unbelievable, just: 80% ( very low draw record!)
Btw,
Did you ever see similar low draw records, to be produced by 3750+ NN ?
Oh pardon...once happened... produced by Perfect 16 book: 72% draws !!
GAMES:
https://mega.nz/file/zxQElT4a#y8POIrdwA ... aLYMcDJ8YQ
Final Conclusion (about CTG book formats under Cutechess):
- FUN is all right (e.g theirs produced draws are very low)
- Strength is all right (both almost identical in strength)
- Eng Stability is all right too (no crashes, time forfeits)
- CTG Stability is not all right (CTG code seems to be buggy)
E.g often is earlier out of book or playing the defeats..!
After all,
All the above important factors are enough ? not of course !!
In other words (sure for future tours and for more fair cond.):
Unfortunately CTG books out, only BIN books will be played!
Who knows..may be one day my good dream will become true,
But it's very clear also that not 'yet'
Best,
Sedat

Re: SedatChess

Hello Chess Friends,
1st of all,
I would like to express my gratitude to all WCCC
Tournament Organizers, Engine, Book Authors...
For over long period time: 50 years (half-century)!!
And really sad that WCCC is coming to its end,
No doubt that it will be BIG miss for many of us!
Anyhow, I've good news, since a special day
Celebrating, mentioning 50 years of WCCC,
While SCCT has less active period: 27 years!
Anyhow I think that it's a long period of time,
Especially to be hold / managed by single TD!
As most important: no sponsors, donations etc.
Because 'chess' is my hobby...no more no less!!
In other words, a new tournament idea is born:
SCCT (25m + 10s) is coming soon and it will be
Adapted to WCCC's cond. sure here not all will
Be same.. such as some WCCC vers. are private...
However, it will be close for sure! as main difference
1st SCCT tour cond. will be much more fair, since
All will be played on same, but fast CPU machine!
To be more clear, for more fair + high-quality games,
All SCCT engine matches are planning to be played:
- 2x EPYC 7B12 (128 Cores / 256 Threads)
- New/Updated Balsa openings will be used,
Where each opening will be played 'twice'
- Ponder ON (thinking on opponent's turn)
- Slow Rapid Time Control: 25 min + 10 sec
- MP (4 Cores/Game), Hash: 4096 MB, etc.
PARTICIPANTS:
Arasan v24.2.2
Ares v1.005.2
Chiron 5
Deep Junior 13.3
Deep Shredder 13
Ginkgo (Fritz 19)
Jonny 4.00
Komodo Dragon 3.3
rofChade 3.1 NN
Rybka (Fritz 16)
ShashChess Santiago
The Baron 3.45
Tornado 9 NNUE
Zappa Mexico II
More Details / Tournament Rules:
• WCCC 2024's mostly + the frequent of last 5 years are picked..
• As alternative, since 1995: all WCCC's Former Champs are in!
Reason, older Winners are not compatible...required DOS OS
• Be aware too that each player will contain minimum 52 games
Btw here is another similarity 'number' to the years of WCCC !)
• GPU engine/s (e.g Lc0) is out, simply due to parallel matches
• Instead of Own books: Balsa openings, due to many engines
Released as without own books or many of them as old dated,
Where Balsa rarely make mistakes, proved over years: Details
Sure for better ideas, opinions..please feel free to Contact Me
Meanwhile,
Any guess? e.g which engines will manage to be in Top ?)
And wishing good luck to all players, from past to present!

UPDATE
As usual, I am very pleased to announce that
One of my greatest events are started! Two separate CS will be played:
Blitz: 3m+2s / Slow Rapid: 25m+10s
Important Note:
Junior 13.3 out, LCZero CPU in, due all Junior 13..series crashes, sad!
And here are 1st results, playing Blitz 3m+2s where K. Dragon leads!!
Congrats to Komodo team! sure the tour is just in beginning..you know,
It is as lottery to see who are best (I mean if via small number games..)
Btw, many WCCC CS include minus plus same amount games (per player)
Where under current SCCT cond. any entry will be played min 52 games!
Note also that,
Ares seems to be very weak vs current opponents...so in Rapid CS,
I plan to add other, different... but stronger WCCC's engine player!

Chiron5. Wish that authors could make the NNUE version of engine. Chiron was an interesting engine. Like Andscacs and also Xiphos.
