Let me bite: on all these rating lists the proclaimed clones (Ippo & co) are banned. Isn't computer chess about the strongest engine mainly?

Let's face reality, the sources are available for everybody free of use. They won't go away. Some will produce stronger engines based on these free available sources, I want to know.

Besides of this, there is no shred of evidence Ippo & co are disassembled from Rybka. Sorry Vas.

Your are a myth with Rebel / Gideon (I was selling them too 35 years ago, taking them directly from you) Chris Wittington with Chess System Tal, Richard Lang with Genius / Mephisto, Dan and Kathe Spraklen with Sargon / Fidelity, David Kittinger with Novag, Julio Kaplan with Saitek-Kasparov, Johan the Koenig with Tasc R30, and last but not last Robert Hyatt with Crafty . Stockfish exists thanks to your contribute to Chess Computer History!

Hello Alex,

Let me say my opinion...

As far as remember, e.g according to sim data,
Fritz 11, Fritz 12, Fritz 13 and Fritz 14 are not so clean...
For example, showed high similarity to IPPO (Rybka)

In other words, Frans Morsch's engines
Up to (Deep) Fritz 10 series are more original...
