There's nothing as bad as a buggy GUI.
I have not been able to account for time forfeits under Windows 64-Bit. Furthermore, ChessGUI has crashed 3 times in just a few days in Martin Thoresen's tournament. If I cannot figure out the cause of the crashes, it makes no sense to continue with the ChessGUI project.
If the project must end here, I shall update ChessGUI one last time.
Cheers,
Matthias.
I am happy to announce that ChessGUI has crashed a further 2 or 3 times.
Crash logs say that the problem occurs alwys while saving pgn live (i.e after every move for online transmission).
Now that I at least know where to look for a solution, I probably will not terminate the ChessGUI project at this point.
Cheers,
Matthias.

You're a horrible quitter, Matthias.

At least this time there's no quitting.
Cheers,
Matthias.

I'm glad to hear that, still, a single bug wouldn't have been a reason to quit in my opinion

I think the issue for Matthias in this case was that I was the only one experiencing these crashes.
It was difficult when only 1 person reports something and no one else, and you don't know where to look for the problem.
Best Regards,
Martin

I would have assumed it was a problem on your side (and I would have assumed wrong, but the thought of finishing the project for a single bug by a single user would have never crossed my mind).
ChessGUI 0.199a is out there.

ChessGUI 0.199a is out there.
A misplaced line of code was sometimes preventing the launching of engines in ChessGUI 0.199.

Courageous people can test the current ChessGUI.exe and give feedback, though I cannot work much on ChessGUI now.

What's the best way to completely stop a running tournament (stopping all running engines as well) and allow the user to do something else? The interupt button doesn't seem to do this.
Thanks.

That is still on the to-do list.
"Interrupt" finishes current game before stopping.
