Concerning the openings book chosen for the tournament, I do not share the idea of using any opening
books for such a tournament. Engine authors should be free to choose which openings their creations
use or not, just like any human player does in over the board games. In real life a player
can decide what to move from move 1, nobody would accept the arbiter to set a position
in the board for you to start with, so why is this accepted as logical for engine games?

Also could say something against the third repetition, or to award the game to the point,
eg king and two knights against king, overwhelming advantage but can not kill.

Chess must be respected for what it is, with all its rules of integrity.

It is a point of view, but the competition would be diverted to other developments, in addition to various formats, size of books, settings, updates, ect.
Too much complication, there are other specific tournaments Opening.
