Rook ending position

Post by Howard E »

This is the current position I am watching from Alaric vs Prodeo 1.6 (game 40/40)
White's position advantage is huge yet two strong engines I am analysing with
may confirm the late Smyslov's comment, "all rook endings are drawn".

After one minutes analysis Houdini keeps +1.59 while Stockfish 1.7 has +3.03,
with no change which usually indicates no progress or draw.

Is there a win for Alaric or did Prodeo dodge a bullet?

If you follow the analysis of Stockfish forward - move by move - you will
soon see that the program is unable to make any progress. The position
seems to be a draw.
