ChessGUI is back.
ChessGUI is back.
I almost shutdown the ChessGUI because of 2 types of crashes:
1) ChessGUI was allowing a third-party program (Pgn4Web) to access files while ChessGUI was still writing to them.
That bug was fixed in ChessGUI 0.200, making ChessGUI usable for online transmission of games.
2) ChessGUI (since engine CPU load is being measured) could crash after thousands or even just hundreds of games.
This ChessGUI 0.203 fixes the very elusive bug.
I therefore strongly recommend updating to ChessGUI 0.203 ! I consider it rock-solid.
Matthias.

Aided by engines, GMs can be very strong.

Re: ChessGUI is back.
ChessGUI 0.203 was outputting a bunch of irrelevant files during RoundRobin tournaments.
ChessGUI 0.203a does not do that.

Re: ChessGUI is back.
Thanks for your work on ChessGUI Matthias. It's an excellent GUI for engine tournaments.
Suggestions:
Suggestions:
- Add support for .bin opening books, much like SCID has
- Ability to upgrade an engine during a tournament and automatically replay all the relevant games (e.g. Engine v0.1 is out, a tournament is started with it, Engine v0.2 is released, all of Engine v0.1's games can be replayed with Engine v.02). If it already has this feature I'm sorry that I didn't notice....

1) The space is too small for material difference.Martin Thoresen wrote:From what I can see from the picture, on the board square numbers / letters and material difference by the eval.Matthias Gemuh wrote:You mean html ? or that 1...8, a...h ?kingliveson wrote:My wish list, thanks!!!
2) The space is used for displaying Elo.
