STS Stat (v3.0) available

Post by Swaminathan »

Finally, this is the version that fixes the bug of non-scoring of STS 11 and STS 12 in the STS Stat Results table, and there are few other updates too.

Thanks to Gailhac Philipe of France. 8-)

Gailhac doesn't have Fritz or Shredder GUI, so he would like to have a log file of Fritz(chessbase) and Shredder GUI. He will look into it.

send me the log file nswami15 at yahoo dot com. I will forward it to him.

Thanks!

Hi Swami,

A question... The STS epd files in the bundle "STS Files for Arena" and the bundle "STS [1-12]" only have the best moves for each position, and not different moves with different scores.

The individual files for download have the moves + variable scores.

E.g.

from the individual STS1.0 :

Code: Select all

1kr5/3n4/q3p2p/p2n2p1/PppB1P2/5BP1/1P2Q2P/3R2K1 w - - bm f5; id "Undermine.001"; c0 "f5=10, Be5+=2, Bf2=3, Bg4=2";
from the bundle STS1.0 :

Code: Select all

1kr5/3n4/q3p2p/p2n2p1/PppB1P2/5BP1/1P2Q2P/3R2K1 w - - bm f5; id "Undermine.001";
Is there a reason for this?

I can use the Multiple best moves in Arena? (Although I have written a class in the latest version of Jabba to do this anway, for tuning :) )

Thanks

Richard
