When at SedatChess they claim that a SF clone targeted for correspondence analysis (=Corchess) is the best engine out there for tournanent play at bullet time controls (=TC 15 sec + 300 ms) :

I see.

So by this, we are to assume that Stockfish development has regressed 14 Elo (only 1008 games using UHO book) since November 22, 2024? For the uninformed, Alex's SF-PB is Stockfish with polyglot book code added. No other modifications to the source.

I will believe Stefan Pohl's testing any day compared to this thing. The reason? See here (right on, Viz :D)

I am not convinced that this TD has realized its own contradictions :
- engine optimized for correspondence games better than stockfish at bullet
- engine optimized for UHO openings list (=low draw rate) better with UNIQUE openings list (=high draw rate)
- etc

Here are the best TD statements to make your day :

Honestly, it's tough to say if the 14 Elo drop is significant without more context, but the engine optimizations definitely seem to be causing some contradictions. As for the TD comments, it's always interesting when people get passionate about the details, but it feels like there's a bit of everything being said in the mix.

Nowhere on the planet is a F1 more efficient off-road than a Jeep. At SedatChess  it's usual.
