Halogen 12.0.0 wins 4 League CEDR edition 07/2024, by Chess Engines Diary

The last, 4th TOP-64 CEDR League has ended. The Halogen 12.0.0 engine won. The Carp 3.0.1 engine came in 2nd place, and the Stash 35.26 JA engine came in 3rd. The TOP-64 eliminations for new versions of chess engines and amateur engines have already begun. Check our website, results coming soon.

Stockfish 20241031 wins Strong Engines Tournament (Tests by Jörn Gronemann, 2024.11.11)

As many as 1365 games were played in the latest test tournament of the most powerful chess engines. The Stockfish 20241031 engine won, the Marauders 4.0 engine came in second, and the SpecTral PB 071124 engine came in third. Interestingly, Stockfish 17 came in last in this test. BlackCore 6.0 wins Beth Harmon Tournament, 2024.11.12

The BlackCore 6.0 engine won the Beth Harmon group in the CEDR Chess Engine League. The Zahak 10.0 engine came in 2nd, the Clarity 7.2.0 engine came in 3rd, and the PlentyChess 3.0.0 engine came in 4th. These four engines advanced to the TOP-64 and will play in the 4th League next year. 46 engines played in the Beth Harmon group. The next eliminations are underway, results will be posted on the website soon.

Yuliana 5.50 wins New Engines Test, by Chess Engines Diary 09.11.2024

The tournament of 30 versions of new chess engines was won by the Yuliana 5.50 engine. In 2nd place was the Deep Ripper -1 engine. Places 3 to 7 were taken by the engines: Artemis 3TR, Big Yuli GM 221024, CorChess 20241022, MagicKnight and Stockfish 17.

Obsidian 14.01 SE wins Middle Class Engines Tournament (Tests by Jörn Gronemann, 2024.11.14)

1360 games is another Middle Class Engines test tournament. The Obsidian 14.01 SE engine won by a landslide. In 2nd place was the Berserk 13 engine and in 3rd place was the Alexandria-7.1.0.

Velvet 8.1.1 wins Young Talents CEDR, 14-16.11.2024

The tournament of young talents, i.e. new versions of amateur chess engines, was won by the Velvet 8.1.1 engine. In 2nd place was the Lizard 11.1 engine and in 3rd place, unexpectedly, the Elixir 3.0 JA engine.
The examiner was the Critter 1.6a engine and it took 6th place.

ShashChess 37 wins Strong Engines Tournament (Tests by Jörn Gronemann, 2024.11.16)

A very large test tournament in which over 1500 games were played. The ShashChess 37 engine won, the same number of points had the SF-PRO 11.11.2024 engine which took 2nd place. In 3rd place was the Brainlearn 30 engine. We are convinced that the results of this tournament will interest you.

Big test tournament, 2400 games - finished!
As many as 5 engines scored the same number of points, they are: Big Yuli GM 221024, Stockfish dev-20241031-24c57793, ShashChess 37, Stockfish 17 and Yuliana 5.50. It is certainly a useful test.
