Hello there,

1st of all,
Very soon I hope to organize another new CS,
And again with players mainly 3770+ Elo, but
Before starting the planning official CS,
There will be candidate tours..as reason:
One engine (per author) will be allowed...
Otherwise (sure I refer for older tourneys),
Some of authors participate with 1 engine,
Some with 2...even some author/s participate
With many engines and usually the One/s with
Many... have more chances to be Number One!

In other words,
Via new rule (one engine per author),
The CS will be played with more fair cond.!

And here is 1st Candidate tour results (by OrgZ Engines),
Where only the Winner will be qualified into planning CS..

Note also that (in Candidate CS),
Minimum 500 games will be played (each participant)
I'm aware that not enough..may appear error margin,
Since the engines are playing with Unique openings...
But at least, in official CS: it's planning each player
To contain over than 1500+ games (per player) so best,
Strongest ones are expecting to be one of Top ranks!

By the way,
For the current test, Good Luck 'only' to Tanick Ramz :)

Code: Select all

Rank Name Elo +/- Games Score Draw
   1 Private 19Sf 7 14 258 51.0% 88.8%
   2 C-Dragon v3.0 3 16 256 50.4% 85.9%
   3 SF-POLY 020624 0 17 257 50.0% 84.4%
   4 C-Dragon v3.1 -1 13 259 49.8% 91.1%
   5 Marauders 3.6 -1 13 256 49.8% 90.2%
   6 JigSaw v5.8 -7 15 260 49.0% 88.1%

773 of 1500 games finished.
Conditions:
2x Epyc 7B12, CuteChess, 1 Core, Ponder OFF, 30s+0.6s, Unique, 64 Hash, 4-MEN

Meanwhile, if you are going to ask:
Why two C-Dragon vers. are entered...? simply because
Both engine versions are used to play with different nets..,
You know even single influence we may expect diff. results

Best,
Sedat

Impressive! Private 19Sf is 1st qualified player (by Tanick Ramz engines)!

2 SF-POLY 020624 49.0 - 51.051.0 - 49.049.5 - 50.552.0 - 48.049.5 - 50.5 ** 251.0/500

6 C-Dragon v3.0 49.0 - 51.050.5 - 49.547.5 - 52.551.0 - 49.049.5 - 50.5 ** 247.5/500

UPDATE 2

Another great score! LittleBeast 15 is next qualified..(by Eduard Nemeth)!

Code: Select all

Rank Name Elo +/- Games Score Draw
   1 LittleBeast 15 6 10 500 50.8% 88.4%
   2 Deep Ripper 6 11 500 50.8% 86.4%
   3 Big-SF 110324 -2 11 500 49.7% 85.8%
   4 Sun_15 -3 12 500 49.6% 85.2%
   5 SFS 130424 -3 11 500 49.6% 87.2%
   6 Steel Fighter -3 11 500 49.5% 87.8%

1500 of 1500 games finished.
Note also that (for determining the Winner...),
There was Tie-Break Match, LittleBeast 15 vs Deep Ripper:

Code: Select all

Score of LittleBeast 15 vs Deep Ripper: 9 - 5 - 86 [0.520]
... LittleBeast 15 playing White: 7 - 0 - 43 [0.570] 50
... LittleBeast 15 playing Black: 2 - 5 - 43 [0.470] 50
... White vs Black: 12 - 2 - 86 [0.550] 100

Elo difference: 13.9 +/- 25.4, LOS: 85.7 %, DrawRatio: 86.0 %

SPRT: llr 0 (0.0%), lbound -inf, ubound inf
100 of 100 games finished.
Btw, here is another good example (in tie-break..) e.g
Just imagine...if we use to play small number of games,
Such as 100 games (per player)... then I mean simply that
The right Elo difference, standings etc. is mystery, right ?

As next Candidate match:
Eman 9.90 vs Polyfish 140124
Good Luck to Mr. Khalid Omar

In other words, I mean simply that no BIG surprise at all....

Code: Select all

SPRT: llr 0 (0.0%), lbound -inf, ubound inf
500 of 500 games finished.
Meanwhile (about the other rest engines),
That's all ..there will be no more Candidate tours for planning CS!
To be more clear, theirs latest Top engine vers. will be played out..

And please stay tuned,
Very soon the 1st official played results are coming...!

Eduard Nemeth's engines will be played each other..
Good Luck to Mr. Eduard )

Thanks , a very interesting tournament indeed.
BUT you are crediting the wrong person. This engine is a 4 people project, this doesn't sit well with my friends Sedat. Bundling Private19sf as mine is not right buddy🤕

As for C Dragon
Apart from different nets, the code it self is different in some of the source files. Different version means different code.

As for SF PB id like to clarify something maybe you missed the engine is stillJUST Stockfish 240612. There's NO difference apart from the ability to handle bin books and nothing else. The difference between SF PolY and SF PB is that i actually change the way the engine searches its not just book adding......🤔

Hello Mr. Tanick,

Not at all....and thank you too for your interest,
Even some of your comments are very useful..

But anyhow,
I disagree that I'm crediting wrong authors etc.
Sure my work is not perfect..and as a single TD..
You know...sometimes I may miss to see, to read...

On other hand,
For examples, after checking your both mentioned ones:
Private19Sf by Team JaR-Heads, Tanick Ramz & SF-Team
C-Dragon v3.1 by Tanick Ramz & the SF Team
Plus Marauders, SF-POLY etc. by you + SF team, right?

In other words, it is very clear that,
You are one of the authors of candidate engines !)
So I can not see any mistake by my side...!!

About SF-PB engine,
Yes ..you have right..but in current NNUE CS LII
There is no 'Similarity Rule' so no barrier, free for all!
Except, one engine per author/s is allowed and besides
As far as possible, 3770+ Elo ones are as main players!

Meanwhile, since we talk over.. other good example:
Except SF-PB, Polyfish is participated too, I mean
Polyfish (as SF-PB) has very high similarities too!
Not sure exactly with latest SF-PB releases, but
Some older SF-PB releases were very close (in similarity)
I mean simply that almost identical to real mother (SF)!

But anyhow, in next/future SCCT Championships of 3700+:
Just in case...I plan to use a Similarity RULE again e.g
Up to 75% or 80% in Similarity, at least will be more fair!

BTW,
The final result update is planning tomorrow...

861 of 1848 games finished.
Meanwhile,
Very likely today, I hope to share the FINAL standings...
And any of the above player will contain min 1848 games
That means in the end...we will have serious data about
Which is Best of Best...sure I refer for under these cond...
Just in case of equal points by the highest ranked ones:
There will be Tie-Break duels for determining the Winner!

GOOD LUCK )
