Anton101 wrote: Tue Feb 27, 2024 8:15 pm Your answer is very interesting but I get different numbers in my tests since I use ponder ON, precisely like in real server games. Lichess users with bots or playchess server users play with ponder ON.

I respect your test obviously and the time and resources invested.

Regards;
Well, normally Ponder ON is best choice...
But in fast Bullet, thinking in opponent's time
How much will be affective ?)

What I can say more,
Pondering as enabled can be as serious weapon,
I mean useful..If via Blitz, Rapid, Slow time controls

Breaking News (28.02.2024):
1st of all, what is going on here?) yes..via latest 2 (two) new entries..
The standings are changed...but it's quite normal, right? because no
Anyone can stay on Top forever...this is a fact, reality is reality !! But
I admit that Mr Anton is Mr Anton..this man knows how to be Champ!
And not only now...I mean if going to count his overall records/tittles..
At least I can say that, he won many times, sure as same words are
Going for many other GREAT authors too...Note that at this midnight,
At very late hours.. I could not refuse not testing Mr.Göktürk Göker's
Settings (GX) for Incognito 5 Pro GX and once more we notice that
Online-Play is far away from same PC's matches..yes..you may win
Via Online..but SCCT is HARDER..Believe Me..because here all used
To play with same conditions..if not so clear, many Online opponents
Are participating with slower, old-dated hardwares..some with wrong
Hardware/Eng configurations, some playing with weak openings etc
And many think that their used engine, book or setting is best of best...
But in reality how much is this true? sure this can be true. ) but it all
Depends on our used cond.! in other words, the real ARENA is here!
COME and WIN ) sure I don't feel any regret and I do not blame no
One of current players...it's all right..and it's my BIG pleasure to test..
One thing more, instead of Bayeslo, Ordo is used..now is more clear..
Final note, current competition is already over..time for other tours )

The Champion: Killfish 270224 - Congrats to Anton Ces, SF Team!

Hello Chess Friends,

Just I'd like to inform you that,
Here is another new Strength test, before FINAL Official start:

To be more clear,
Book Authors will be free to choose one of the current engines!
In other words, in planning tour: Book entries will be played by
Author's choice! like Online..

Be aware of that too, I hope to run/organize
Two separate ratings, firstly with 4 Core/Game, Bullet, Ponder ON
Later... with highest Ranked Books: 8 Core/Game, Blitz, Ponder ON

Btw,
Here are planning engines, which may be used in new Online Like CS...
About current test conditions:
2x Epyc 7B12, CuteChess, 1m+0.5s, Ponder ON, 4 Core/Game, Balsa, 128 hash:

Code: Select all

Rank Name Elo +/- Games Score Draw
   1 Incognito 5 Pro 13 14 82 51.8% 96.3%
   2 Polyfish 140124 4 18 83 50.6% 94.0%
   3 Brainlearn 27 4 14 86 50.6% 96.5%
   4 ShashChess 34.6 0 11 85 50.0% 97.6%
   5 SF-PB 080124 0 0 82 50.0% 100.0%
   6 Raid v3.4 -4 8 86 49.4% 98.8%
   7 CoolIris 11.80 -4 14 84 49.4% 96.4%
   8 Eman 9.90 -12 13 86 48.3% 96.5%

337 of 2800 games finished.
And meanwhile, sure and just in case of interest,
