Thanks for your kind words. My work is just reflecting and sharing the great works of authors here. If you feel they are great, yes, nowadays every where we look in chess engines community we find a masterpiece. Some our chess friends think that only stockfish family engines are important and for being a strong player they should only use stockfish and it’s derivatives. I want to have a friendly recommendation to chess fans, specially here , in this forum: Don’t restrict yourself to stockfish. Last night I was practicing with Koivisto9.2 and Minic 3.41 . They are really great learning masterpieces for everyone at different chess levels. Use different engines, enjoy from these great works.

+1, with fortunately few exceptions; this is a very collegial forum. We are spoiled for choices with many good engines and programmers.

About Stockfish,
In overall, especially for the earlier versions
I can say that it is a great chess engine!
Super strong...in other words, SF can be called as
'Mother' of new, great ideas, which many authors benefit !
And SF's team is based on too many Top eng programmers,
So no any other engine team can compete with Stockfish
Exc. AlphaZero team ))

Anyhow, like every chess engine,
Stocfish is not perfect too..just a few examples:
Stockfish comes with included Evalfile...bad choice!
By the way, just one, but simple example,
Why each time I have to download large NN file..
If previous SF dev. version uses still same Evalfile ?)
This is not logical... just waste of time, space etc.

Plus the latest SF dev. can't play Classic chess !
This is really annoying...only via NN help/assistance possible..
Or as other examples, which are important for my side:
Too Drawish sure if 3750+ matches or other missing
Future is that, SF is not capable to learn...
Even SF has no option to use BIN books etc.
And plus SF has no CTG Book option too...

Btw, some time ago (in my Duel - Book Vs NNUE)
I noticed also that
SF had bad time management problems..e.g
In 3 Min: Stockfish lost some games on time,
Not sure about the latest SF dev. but some of
Earlier SF versions were buggy (at 3 Min)

On other hand,
It is normal to forfeits on time..since SF is playing
Via checking/gaining from older played data (nn)
You know... ıf humans will check (in game mode)
Very likely mostly of us will forfeits on time too ))

Just my 2 cents over these issues )

Meanwhile,
What is more strange or as a interesting note:
Many Stochfish's clones have same bugs as the real mother ))
E.g If Stockfish forfeits on time.. mostly clones forfeit too
Or if Stockfish comes with included Evalfile...mostly include too
Or if Stockfish disables Classical mode...Clonneres disable too ))

In other words,
Not many programmers are trying to do something own..different..
Even Stockfish team followed the way of AlphaZero's way...
After all, how many people are so happy with this...
You know..the final result is important..
Btw, where are the classical games (as in past.. ) ?
I mean played at serious TC as 40/120 or 90m+30s ?
Almost dead..and almost all of the games are at Bullet...
Sad but true...

You mentioned to very good and key points. But I want to add something I think it’s very important and should be considered from everyone: when we talk about stockfish we are talking about a big team, consists of many programmers, computer specialists , adequate and appropriate hardware support and every thing is ready to work. In open source community sometimes we see other great engines and masterpieces, but here we don’t see a big team with so much facilities. We only see an author, sometimes very few contributors and very limited hardware support. But the result of their work is amazing. Some of these engines are not less than stockfish, when we consider the quality of games. These kind of works have their special
Meaning for me. I respect and appreciate all these authors very much.
