Hi Mr. Sedat
Many thanks for new tournament. I always like Komodo engine very much specially because one of the authors is also a chess grandmaster too. And engine has a great positional understanding which all chess fans know. But there is a gap between stockfish and Komodo on blitz time controls. Authors couldn’t compensate this gap up to now. I don’t know it is related to stockfish faster search or better time management or what , because on LTC the condition is better and Komodo is almost as strong as stockfish on longer time controls. I hope that authors will be able to compensate this gap(lack) in future and we can be able to see near competition between komodo and stockfish on blitz time controls too.
Best regards

Not at all Mr. Homayoun )

Yes.. I like Komodo Dragon as well, it is one of my favorites too
And agreed with you..at slower TC... Komodo is more close to SF...
But especially at fast TC... then the dominant is SF for sure !
We will see..but it seems very hard to catch SF, because
Stockfish is a team work, based on too many engine authors...
In other words, two heads are better than one!

On other hand,
Good news is that Komodo's programmers are still active..
And Komodo Dragon seems to be as very serious opponent!
Btw, no surprise that one of recent SCCT tours,
Komodo Dragon 3.2 is managed to win (vs very strong eng players...)

New Update

Blitz competition is over too!

For Final Standings, Details etc:
https://sites.google.com/site/computers ... improvment

Note also that (due to no much Elo progress),
In next months: I plan less eng tours (close to 3750 Elo)
Thanks for your understanding!

Meanwhile,
Which calculation tool generate more correct data?

Because as we see...
Exc. the influences of GUIs, Engines, Books, Testers etc.
Even calculation programs can lead to confusions too !)

Breaking News (15.10.2023):
Just another series of book championship started..this time, the target will
Be to check the books strength in overall openings..you may know, some
Are doing good in trend..some opposite...what about in overall openings?
And to call as very strong book, it should be well-optimized in all openings!
Let's say in Alekhine, Caro-Kann, French...only English, Sicilian, Spanish..
Is not enough, right ?) Btw, now I shared a ranking only with ones, which
Prefer various openings...e.g they are based on older SCCT book tours..
Just a example, CS BN 15 is tuned to prefer only the constant 3 books...
To be more clear, I did not touch the other books, which are participated...
Other example, CS 52 tuned to prefer FCP, FGRL,CCRL, CEGT SPCC..
So no BIG surprise that for the moment CS 52 opening book is last rank..
Note also that all next entries will be played firstly vs current participants,
Sure later..I plant to test all the high-rated books e.g each other as well !
Ok..very soon many more opening books are coming...sure and as usual
New books registrations acceptable...thanks in advance and good luck!!

Breaking News (16.10.2023):
A BIG update, many players are entered...and as usual the leading books are
DON, Everest, CachoSCCT, HCanFree.. Btw, who said that Lion is a weak one?
Lion is Lion one of strongest out there..just suffers in some trend openings!
But quite normal, as we know, usually newer...perform better than older ones!
And frankly I like this tour much.. e.g via current system way, authors may see
Theirs weakness..in same time means: in the next releases they may improve...
Ok.. that's all for now... more details, book updates very soon... )

BN XVIII Current Leader: DON Hercules - Congratulations to Vasid Chouhan!

Meanwhile,
Once more (for anyone missed) current ranking indicates about book players,
Which are better / worse in overall openings...so here says as last word, which
Are well-tuned/optimized..just via importing games: it's a lottery to be on Top!
