I've started a new tournament series called the 'UCI Chess Engine Champions League". Essentially, it is my local tournament series that I've decided to start sharing with the world. Round 1 is a 9 round Swiss at active time controls with 46 engines. The top 40 engines move on to the two-tiered group stage where matches become more personal and time controls get longer. The crosstable will be updated regularly and PGNs of the games will be available at the end of every round. The website is http://ucecl.weebly.com. I hope it provides some enjoyment!

UCECL Qualifying has reached round 6 of 9 with some very strong engines facing off against each other today:

UCECL qualifying finished on Christmas day with Stockfish taking the top spot with 7.5 out of 9 possible points. For stage 2 of the competition, the top 40 engines have been split into two tiers of 4 groups of 5 engines each participating in an intra-group double round robin at long time controls. The season page has been updated with the new groups and crosstables and the first stage qualifying games have been posted for download as a PGN zip file.
