Toga Cluster detected as a virus?

Post by Hagen »

I did a scan of my computer and Avira Antivirus is detecting that Toga Cluster is a "supicious" heuristic code. Right now it's in quarantine. I can undo this but I'd like others who either have Avira to check this out or tell me this has already been discussed and proven to be false. Any thoughts on this?

IN Virus total (41 antivirus testing the file) the 64 version is clean.
The 32 version gives 1 "suspect" answer:

Antivirus Version Last Update Result

a-squared 5.0.0.26 2010.06.19 -
AhnLab-V3 2010.06.19.00 2010.06.19 -
AntiVir 8.2.2.6 2010.06.18 HEUR/Crypted
Antiy-AVL 2.0.3.7 2010.06.18 -
Authentium 5.2.0.5 2010.06.19 -
Avast 4.8.1351.0 2010.06.18 -
Avast5 5.0.332.0 2010.06.18 -
AVG 9.0.0.787 2010.06.18 -
and so on, all "clean" answers

I did a scan with "Norton Internet Security 2010" and Norton confirmed " No viruses found" so i think 'Toga Cluster' is safe!

Antivirus programs are notorious for giving false positives.

I get nothing with Norton 2010 or Windows Defender.
