We have another tournament for you of the strongest, new versions of chess engines. For a change, this time the games were played in the GUI - Aquarium, which some consider the best.
The winner was the Rems MPV Sep24 engine. 2nd place was taken by the Steel Fighter III engine and 3rd place by the Rems Sep24 engine. All of these engines scored the same number of points and the order was decided by the Berger auxiliary score.

Another big test tournament of the most powerful chess engines - over 1000 games. We have a big review of engines based on the Stockfish code and of course the official version of Stockfish 17.
The Raid 3.6 TR engine won. In 2nd place the CorChess 20240823 engine and in 3rd place the SOLIDOR_AI engine.

Large tournament of mid-range chess engines - 1140 games. The Obsidian 13.0 engine won and the Berserk 13 engine took 2nd place. The Alexandria 7.0.0 engine took 3rd place.

Marauders 3.9 wins Aquarium Strong Engines Tournament by Chess Engines Diary 2024.09.20 - 2024.09.27

A small tournament of the strongest chess engines was won by the Marauders 3.9 engine. In 2nd place was the Stockfish 17 engine - official version.
Places 3-4 were taken by the Fidelio 17 MPV and SF-PRO 12.09.2024 engines.

Another tournament of very strong chess engines. Two engines won: Artemis 2TR and JigSaw 6.0. Both scored the same number of points and obtained the same auxiliary score - Berger.
Places 3-5 were taken by engines: Stockfish 17, Brainlearn 29 and YuliGM STRONG 180824.
A total of over 900 games were played, more tournaments are ongoing.

Test tournament in which we "tested" 24 new chess engines. In 1-2 place were Yuliana 5.0 and Stockfish 17 engines. Places 3 to 5 were taken by: JigSaw 6.0, Sailfish 3 and Stockfish 20240820 Ivec.
The Dark Toga 0.3.12 JA engine had a problem starting in GUI-Banksia.

The tournament of the most powerful chess engines was won by Marauders 3.9 (7 wins without defeat). In 2nd and 3rd place were Artemis 2TR engines and Stockfish dev-20240917.

As you can see, we have a new formula for the chess league. 64 best engines playing in four leagues.
The 1st league was won by the Stockfish 17 engine, which is the expected result. But only half a point less was won by Berserk 13! In third place was the Dragon 3.3 engine.
The last three engines are relegated to the 2nd league: Koivisto 9.2, rofChade 3.1 and Fire 9.3.
The 2nd league is starting soon, check our website in a while.

Match Stockfish17 - Stockfish dev-20240917 consisted of 200 games and all ended in draws. Currently at this level winning a game is very difficult.
The next match (Stockfish 17-SF-Pro) is currently underway and the results will be announced soon. Keep an eye on our website.
