After Topalov conceded to Anand in the WC championship it was revealed he purchased the rights to use a powerful network of computers called Blue Gene. But the interesting subtext of this news was what wasn't said...the software used on Blue Gene. According to different online descriptions - Blue Gene, an IBM computer system wasn't built specifically for computer chess. So this raises the question how exactly did Topalov use Blue Gene? And specifically, what did he use on the Blue Gene system during the chess championship? It was also reported Topalov hired specialists to create something to work with Blue Gene to let him analyze the chess games during the match.
So anybody here care to speculate what software Topalov used on Blue Gene? Was it Hydra? Stockfish? Rybka 4? Anything we're not aware of right now?
