Re: IvanHoe 999946 Beta

Thanks!!

Where can one find the Robbobases? I also must admit I don't quite how to operate the guis. But I installed Ivanhoe 46h (analysis) into Shredder and it works great. What is the difference between the game play version and the analysis version? I am much more interested in analysis of ...

Re: IvanHoe 999946 Beta

IvanHoe 999946h Linux/Windows builds are available. The released source addressed some important issues, and it's a good idea to dump previous builds. ComradesGUI and RobboExplorative included in the package require Java 7 .

What is robboexplorer?

And where can one download the GUI and the ivanhoe that you have worked on. I find the website a bit confusing sometimes.

Thanks!

Re: The End of Ippolit /Iggorit / Robbolito /IvanHoe ?

What was so special about IvanHoe that e.g. Houdini or Fire didn't have?

could say it did NOT have some fans and one maker / plagiarizer who clearly have SPECIAL needs , but ..

Try this .. without IPPOLIT you would have NO Houdini or Fire

what have YOU given the computer chess community in ...

Re: On to the next (non-)scandal... Critter & Ippo

From Kai Laskos: http://talkchess.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39577

I probably shouldn't say anything, but I've seen the Critter 1.2 code and I don't think there's anything (at all) to this. Just another illustration of the limitations of this particular technique of "clone detection".

Re: TCEC Stage 2a - Season 3 (150m + 30s) LIVE! Starts 18/5

Just now, I realise there was a "sign" versus "sine" confusion - I did indeed meant the former, as for negative x, you first want to negate it. In realtime, the graphs are OK, but for those who don't match TCEC 24 hours a day, eyeballing a graph from a decisive game in the post-mortem can often not ...

Re: Chess for Android 2.8.2 improving points

I already got the new Chess for Android version, the 2.8.2, by Aart Bik. Fantastic. You can incorporate now many different UCI engines, and also endgame tablebases ( Nalimov, Gaviota or Scorpio), although I still dont know how to charge them. Aart come again to help me and explain this point ...

Re: Should chess engines get asterisks for official testing?

And I am not talking about remixes or anything like that. I am talking about the actual piece of composed music.

If engines were songs, then, checking whether a song is a clone of another takes minutes, checking whether a composition is not original takes an expert on the issue (there are experts ...

Re: Should chess engines get asterisks for official testing?

Songs don't need to be decompiled to check their arrangement. An experienced judge can hear if the melody is the same and that the song violates copyright just by listening to it. It takes minutes.

The Rybka analogy does not work. The Rybka analogy does not work. (broken record) People listened to ...

Example case:

Original song: Creative Exercise (Mario Paint):

Remix: Intense Color.

The whole thing has been changed (save for the beginning and end, that are quite similar to the original material, but still ...
