Plisk 025

Hi all,

I've made available Plisk 025n which is the version that played in WCRCC and shared 10th place with Arasan, Telepath and Jabba (while having won against both Jabba and Telepath). The only minor change from that is that Plisk will now show evaluations from white's point of view when playing ...

Re: computerchess under Linux

Hi,

I know you mentioned "GUI" in your opening post, but if you by any chance are OK with not seeing the games being played I highly recommend cutechess-cli. I run a lot of games and tournaments with it and it supports both UCI and XBoard engines, as well as Polyglot books. I have had 0 issues with ...

King Safety area

Hi all,

I am retouching a bit the king safety area for my engine. This is the area that is inspected for enemy attacks and own defenses. It is a small area around the king.

Until now I had a 3x3 square area around the king. But I changed that slightly so that if the king is in a castled position ...

Re: STS [1-10] Plisk 0.24o

Thank you Swaminathan,

Your results match generally mine. I did mine with the 64bit executable on a slightly faster PC (2.6Ghz). I also used the command line parameters of Plisk (which allows it to take an epd file and spew out stats) which can have bugs, so I trust your results more.

The STS8 ...

Re: Plisk 024o release

Hi all,

I forgot to say that there are binaries provided for Win (32 and 64 bit), Linux (32bit) and MacOSX (Snow Leopard).

Plisk 024o release

Hi all,

I've made available a new Plisk release (024o). This version plays stronger than Plisk023h. The STS tests results have improved from 583/1000 (in 023h) to 596/1000 so an increase of 13/1000.

Among the changes I have done is improved the search such that Plisk now searches deeper and faster ...
