i just said iam not a programmer specialist. sure we have many respected programmers like bob,and they are experts to judge what
is ethical and what is clone etc. but as a user i wonder and ask if without rybka-ippo-houdini we would have engines with 200+ elo difference
would we have better ...

iam a computer chess user since zx-81 ,spectrum 16/48 era, and i have to say that i have never seen such big
computer chess progressive as nowadays. iam not a programmer neither copyright or ethical specialist.
the only thing that i know is without the "clones" (?) fruit-->rybka-ippo ...
