Re: Back to R3/IPPOLIT(/R4?)
As for IPPOLIT... It seems that the authors took a special care not to copy anything literally. As I mentioned earlier, I am now digging into R3 internals, and the deeper I go the more I am convinced that IPPOLIT was written from scratch (although with heavy R3 influence).

Re: Houdini now included in CEGT rating List
PS: Roger Brown, I'm not attacking you or attempting to make you look bad. Far from it. I do think that people need to understand how Rybka forum moderators/CCRL react & operate in response to engines, especially free engines, better than Rybka in the commercial field.

[SNIP]
We understand you do this only for fun and sincerely appreciate it, but quitting or terminating the project because of a couple minor bugs is just silly -- there's just no other word to describe it. Perhaps a short break from the project is what's needed.

Is this for real, legal?
No, it is not legal for you to bring links to pirated software into this forum.

But I am happy to leave behind a usable thing. Will you solve testsuites with it ?
Bye,
Matthias.

You do know that I use it for that purpose already, right?. Or have you added ...

Re: Time to stop buying expensive software
It was SecuROM, beware of software that is protected by SecuROM as the same can happen to you. It was a software based attack, it changed the writing of the burner to analog and disabled it in many parts of the OS, after I got rid of SecuROM and restored my previous settings, the burner could only ...

Re: Time to stop buying expensive software
I don't think software needs to be open source to be good, common freeware will do the trick. I also use OpenOffice but for CD Burning I use ImgBurn, that is not only free, I consider it much better than Nero.
